My work centers on Oracle database infrastructure — from first install to long-term stability. Over the years that's meant setting up and maintaining thousands of database environments, running upgrades across major Oracle versions, and building disaster recovery setups that hold up when they're actually needed.
I've worked across AIX, Linux, HP-UX, Solaris, and Windows, supporting multiple clients with complex, high-availability infrastructure — including RAC-to-RAC upgrades, cross-platform migrations, and databases well into the hundreds of terabytes.
I started Oracle DBA ++ to write down what I've learned in plain, practical terms — for people studying for their first DBA role and for experienced admins debugging a 2 a.m. production issue. No fluff, just what actually worked.
